About her
I am a gentle, but apparently according to others, quite confident lady. I’m not keen on confrontation, anything for a quiet life! I love all aspects of country life, there’s nothing better than taking in a beautiful view, sitting by a river, lake, loch or sea and I’m a lover of all animals.
I’m happy to travel to meet the right person, I don’t want distance to be a deal breaker.
Then on to a brief note of current lifestyle, for me, retired, former bed and breakfast owner.
Previous jobs, dog groomer, village shop owner, civil servant and bank clerk.
Retirement for me is quiet, punctuated by dog walking, gardening, meals out, showing my dogs and the occasional break away. Last year was a Norwegian cruise, I’d like to do another one, different location.
I was born “a townie”, growing up I lived in various towns along the South coast and moved to East Anglia in 1981. I learned all about the countryside and realised the countryside was where I wanted to be.
My favourite places are Yorkshire, Northumberland and Scotland, but sadly I only ever visit occasionally when visiting family or holidaying.
My ideal date would be of a similar age to myself, a few years either way is fine. Their work would probably have been in a professional capacity, business owner, or similar, but be happy to dress up or down according to the occasion.
